Salary/Wage Range: $22.85 - $33.50 (Classified Salary Level 11)
Salary/Compensation Statement:

  • Hourly wage reflects an approximate annual salary of $47,520 - $69,690.
  • New employees may not be placed on the salary schedule higher than any current employee in this classification with the same or greater number of years' relevant experience and education.

  • Lane Community College is considered a qualifying public employer for the purposes of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. Through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, full-time employees working at the College may qualify for forgiveness of the remaining balance on Direct Loans after 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan. Required QUALIFICATIONS


Required Education:
Two years of post-secondary education with course work in accounting, human resources, conflict resolution, communications management principles, record keeping and office procedures is required.
Required Experience:

  • Three (3) years of general administrative experience, including extensive public contact, is required.
  • One (1) year of the experience must be in a lead or supervisory capacity, some positions may require special job-related computer experience.

Position Purpose:
The Instructional Testing Services Administrative Coordinator works with a team of staff and students to create a welcoming and helpful testing center experience for students.
Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates and maintains in-person, on-campus, day-to-day operations of the Instructional Testing Services center, including on-site supervision of student and part time staff; completing and tracking maintenance and technology requests/updates; communicating with other employees about test requests and issues; greeting students and checking them in for tests; answering phone calls; managing center email and website; recommending business hours; filing; and returning confidential tests.
  • Updates, maintains, and may lead creation of staff schedules for assigned campus spaces during academic terms.
  • Works with ITS director to develop, coordinate, and implement practices that support academic and testing integrity.
  • Supports and participates as needed in the process of recruiting, hiring, and training of staff, including student test proctors and part-time Instructional Testing Specialists.
  • Observes, mentors, and provides feedback to student employees and part-time staff to ensure a quality learning and testing environment.

Supervision Statement:
Reports to and works under the overall guidance of the director of Academic and Tutoring Services. Work is performed independently using previously learned knowledge and professional judgement, within a flexible and collaborative environment where questions are welcome and encouraged. This position may coordinate and lead the work of part-time staff and student workers. This position plans work, assigns tasks, assists with defining priorities, trains, and checks the work of assigned staff and is available to answer questions and troubleshoot problems on a daily basis. This position has substantial input into hiring decisions for student and part-time staff.
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
While performing the essential functions of these positions, employees in this classification may be required to sit, stand, keyboard, write, listen, and speak for extended periods of time Work involves concentrated mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time. Work may require transporting materials up to 25 pounds. Work safely.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
  • Provide support to employees working to meet accreditation standards through evaluation and assessment of student outcomes.
