Responsibilities:

  • Leads, develops, and mentors a team of Data Analysts and BI Engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data analytics and business intelligence practices at Connexus.

  • Collaborates with leadership to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure success across the organization.

  • Leads the Data Analytics Community of Practice to ensure that data related standards, processes, and best practices are upheld throughout the organization.

  • Builds and maintains strong partnerships with leaders across Connexus to ensure services are meeting business objectives.

  • Encourages the adoption of best practices, new methodologies, enhanced modeling techniques, and emerging trends.

  • Partners with the Data Engineering, Data Science team and Data Architect to establish data architecture that enables consistent reporting and insight capabilities.

  • Makes decisions for escalated issues based on understanding of culture, system abilities, timeline, and impact.

  • Facilitates the development and implementation of robust business intelligence tools and strategies.

  • Evaluates and prioritize competing requests based on business impact, resource availability, and technical feasibility.

  • Advocates for data governance practices.

  • Acts as evangelist for BI benefits across the organization and promote BI usage to relevant departments.

Position Requirements:

  • This position is Remote.

  • Bachelor's degree in analytics, data science, computer science, statistics, applied math, or related field is Required.

  • 8+ years of data analyst, data science, data modeling, business intelligence, or related experience within a financial organization is Required.

  • 5+ years in a management position is Required.

  • Experience building business intelligence platforms and services, experience with Power BI, Fabric and Snowflake is Required.

  • Expertise with reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), statistical and predictive analytics is Required.

  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes (e.g., Matillion), and data modeling.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Fabric components and architecture.

  • Experience with advanced data visualization techniques.
