The Role:

We are looking for our next Lab Technician within our Quality Control Department. The Lab Technician will be responsible for: ensuring lab samples are tested and reported in a timely manner, work safely in a cGMP and Food Safety environment.

This position is located in Plaquemine, Louisiana.

What You'll Do:

• Following all procedures related to both lab and EH&S safety practice
• Adhering to current good manufacturing practice (cGMP)
• Adhering to good lab practice (GLP)
• Adhering to good documentation practice (GDP)
• Adhere to HACCP Food safety requirements
• Adhere to all Roquette Plaquemine food safety policies, procedures, and SOPs
• Follow all site policies, procedures, and SOPs
• Reporting to work in a punctual manner and acting professional in a work environment
• Maintain a clean work environment

What You'll Need:

Education:

• A.S./B.S. in Chemistry, Biology or a related field is preferred

Experience:

• 1+ years experience quality testing using analytical equipment is preferred.
• Must have basic computer and computer applications experience.

Supervisory Responsibility (if applicable)

• This position is not a management position.

Work Environment

• This role spends approximately 80% of the time in a lab environment and 20% of the time in an administrative environment.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to speak or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk, climb stairs, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; work in hot, cold and loud environments. Employee must be able to wear a respirator.(manufacturing only)

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full-time position which comprise of a 12 hour rotating shift.

Business Travel:

• Travel may be required when working on projects at other manufacturing plants.

• 100% of projects take place in Plaquemine, LA.
