The opportunity

Job Description

The Principal Microsoft Modern Workplace Engineer reports directly to the Manager of Enterprise Applications. You will be an important technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the M365 environment to enhance collaboration and operational efficiency. Your role will work with partners and ITS teams to promote the use of Microsoft 365 solutions, ensuring understanding of our goals and regulatory requirements. The engineer will use technical expertise to develop best practices and optimize performance within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This role is remote within any of our approved working states. #LI-Remote

What You'll Do:

  • Develop the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Architect scalable, secure, and integrated M365 solutions to meet our needs and ensure high availability across services.
  • Be a primary advocate for the adoption and use of M365 services, including, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Sharepoint.
  • Lead efforts to promote and improve adoption of these tools for enhanced collaboration, document management, and workflow automation.
  • Conduct user training sessions, create documentation, and offer ongoing support to facilitate usage.
  • Collaborate with partners to understand requirements and translate them into solutions.
  • Implement integration with other enterprise applications such as Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and third-party systems.
  • Ensure the environment is compliant with SNHU's regulatory requirements, security protocols, and data governance policies.
  • Establish governance, including permissions, document retention policies, and data privacy standards.
  • Be a technical expert for M365 solutions, working with IT, security teams, and teams to provide integrated solutions.
  • Provide advanced support for M365 services and resolve complex technical issues.

What We're Looking For:

  • 6+ years of experience with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive admin experience, Power Platform experience, Azure applications, and Azure administration experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
  • Experience with information security and compliance relative to the IT industry standards

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $121,649.00 - $194,676.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $134,423.00 - $181,867.00.
