Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate

Job Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments in a warehouse or distribution environment. This includes receiving deliveries, inspecting shipments, verifying documentation, organizing inventory, and preparing orders for shipment. The role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift and move heavy items.

Key Responsibilities:

  Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments

  Verify contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips

  
  
• 
  

  Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling, packing, and organizing freight

  
  
• 
  

  Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment as needed

  
  
• 
  

  Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipping, and receiving logs

  
  
• 
  

  Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to resolve issues

  
  
• 
  

  Ensure warehouse and receiving areas are clean, organized, and safe

  
  
• 
  

  Assist with inventory counts and cycle audits

  
  
• 
  

  Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  High school diploma or equivalent

  
  
• 
  

  1 year of warehouse or logistics experience.

  
  
• 
  

  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

  
  
• 
  

  Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory software

  
  
• 
  

  Good communication and organizational skills

  
  
• 
  

  Forklift experience is required, certification a plus
