GENERAL SUMMARY

The Visual Communications Specialist is responsible for the creation of all visual assets for DeZURIK' s corporate identity, brands and products along with ensuring adherence to our branding guidelines. This position will tell DeZURIK's story through visual mediums such as print, video, digital and animation. By collaborating with others in the organization, the Visual Communications Specialist will ideate concepts, produce end-to-end multi-media content that supports our brand campaigns, marketing initiatives, sales collateral, product guidelines and special projects.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Collaborates with sales and marketing team members, as well as subject matter experts, to produce engaging visual content that strongly communicates core brand narrative, goals and concepts.
  • Understands the target audience for our marketing efforts and designs visually appealing assets that drive results for the campaign.
  • Illustrates concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size, color and style and gaining approval from all necessary parties involved.
  • Work with digital marketing manager to develop the creative needs for our digital assets such as our website, video, social media presence and online campaigns.
  • Presents and communicates design and design goals to teammates and peers in the organization.
  • Lead our video and photography efforts for the organization, including concepting, shooting, editing, and finalizing videos and photos.
  • Applies and updates existing brand standards to accommodate new products and campaigns and ensures alignment with our corporate brand.
  • Ensure goals and objectives are met on time and within budget.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of Associates in Arts with emphasis in graphic design or related degree with BS degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in graphic design related function.
  • Proven working experience collaborating with internal or external customers.
  • Experience in photography, video editing and digital marketing design.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
  • High level of modern video editing, delivery and compression techniques.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental design, sense of color, typography and composition.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time with minimal supervision.
  • Detail oriented and organized in approach to managing several projects simultaneously.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Physical demands are typical of an office position including extended periods of sitting, extensive use of a personal computer and telephone.
  • Position requires movement throughout the office in order to resolve work problems and facilitate processes.


WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal manufacturing and office environment. When working occasionally in some shop areas, personal protection equipment (PPE) will be recommended and/or required (safety shoes, safety glasses w/side shields, hearing protection, face shield, gloves, apron and boots). Stress may result from workload and meeting schedules. Must have the ability to support extended business hours to meet customer business needs.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

DeZURIK offers a competitive hourly rate in the $27.28 to $34.10 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus opportunities tied to performance.
