An Occupational Therapist/Physical Therapist 2 consistently provides effective direct care to a variety of complex patients. In doing so the therapist acts as a role model and supervisor for junior staff and helps identify patients who have unmet occupational therapy needs. A Therapist is focused on expanding clinical knowledge and skills beyond the entry level and sharing this knowledge through in-services and participates as an active member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team. The Therapist acts as a role model and may supervise other staff. This level of therapist seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice and begins to assume a leadership role receiving mentoring in this process. Therapists at this level may be asked to contribute to performance appraisals.
UVA Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Hand Therapist to join our dynamic outpatient therapy team. This role is open to both licensed Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists with specialized training and experience in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities:
