Stellar Solutions is looking for an experienced and highly motivated acquisition professional to support Space Systems Command, Space Sensing Directorate in El Segundo, CA. This position provides management and advisory support in a dynamic, high-paced environment under the Space Sensing Directorate. The acquisition and engineering support professional will be responsible for managing group interactions with a large number of stakeholders and ensuring that the government is efficiently and effectively following up and assessing the technologies that are presented. Evaluating aspects of multiple satellite and associated ground programs that are geared towards providing additional capability to end users.



Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

The ideal candidate will will coordinate across the Space Sensing directorate to assure the government's requirements are met and report to the government program manager on a regular basis as to the status of these programs. The ideal candidate will be familiar with standard acquisition and funding processes and with program management tools such as JIRA, Confluence and MS project.

Responsibilities Include:

    Providing day to day management of communication with stakeholders
  • Senior leader and team calendar management
  • Configuration control of program documentation
  • Program schedule tracking
  • Working through acquisition and funding processes to enable program success under government supervision
  • Work with JIRA and Confluence tools to better enable decision-making
  • Familiar with TEAMS and Share Point
  • Establish technical exchange meetings with other industry partners and customers
  • Have collaboration skills to bring issues to closure
  • Systems engineering support
  • Monitor developer progress and report to the material leader
  • Ability to work with senior military/government officials

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
  • At least 8 years of experience in Space programs acquisitions, with familiarity with advanced tech programs
  • Experience with the OPIR and Weather mission areas
  • Experience with Confluence and JIRA Program portfolio management
  • U.S. Citizen with Secret clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret and SCI clearances
  • Acquisition PM level 1 equivalent


Desired Skills:

  • MS degree in a STEM field
  • Top Secret/SCI Clearance
  • Acquisition PM level II equivalent
  • Experience in the mission areas of OPIR, Space Operations, Mission Partner/Stakeholder relations

Security Clearance & Other Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen with Secret Clearance and with the ability to obtain Top Secret and SCI clearances
  • Position is located on Los Angeles AFB, CA - On-site with some hybrid based on customer needs. Other Travel expected to be 10% or less

Compensation:

The typical anual salary range for this position is approximately, USD $130,000 - $150,000. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, profit sharing / retirement plan and other benefits (all in addition to annual base salary).



Deliverable(s)

Deliverables could be in the format of a report, software file, briefing, spreadsheet, or other document as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction. The nature of this work will, at times, require quick responses to stringent deadlines and always in a high quality, professional manner.
