Job Description

Provides appropriate medical nutrition therapy goals for patients throughout the organization. Educates patients regarding their diet/nutrition plan for discharge when needed. Serves as a nutrition resource to physicians, nursing staff, and other health care team members. Participates in patient care rounds.

• Provides medical nutrition therapy to patients in 1:1 and group class formats.
• Develops goals and care plan in conjunction with patients.
• Serves as a nutrition resource to physicians, nursing staff, and other health care team members.

• Monitors the effectiveness and outcomes of nutrition interventions for patients based on departmental policies and procedures.
• Interacts with co-workers and other staff consistently utilizing Jefferson's core values.
• Communicates clearly and effectively in both written and verbal form to patients, public, support staff, physicians and other allied health team members.
• General knowledge of nutrients analysis, electronic medical record, and spreadsheet software
• Participates in community outreach events as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors in Nutrition or Dietetics Required, Masters preferred.

Completion of a supervised practice program approved by Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Required.
One year outpatient counseling experience preferred

Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Hybrid Schedule - Remote 2 days per week.

In Office - Camden County, Gloucester County, Burlington County

Salary Range

The actual hiring rate will be determined based on candidate experience, skills and qualifications. This position is not eligible for an annual incentive.
