The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing has been the leader in nursing education in North Carolina throughout its history. Position Summary |
THIS IS A POSTING FOR TWO VACANCIES. APPLICANTS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR BOTH POSITIONS.
UNC Chapel Hill School of Nursing is seeking candidates for a Nurse Specialist position. This 12-month
EHRA non- faculty position is focused on clinical supervision of students in the on- and off- campus clinical environment. This position requires the incorporation of evidence-based practice into clinical activities and maintaining a commitment to serving the school of nursing, university, profession, and community. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
* A minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical care in a patient care or community setting
* Manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
* Licensed or eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in North Carolina |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Master's in nursing preferred. Microsoft Office Experience. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (
LMS) such as Canvas. Experience in educating students or nurses, to include precepting experience. Experience in simulation. |
