Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Develops, writes, and edits material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, and related environmental and scientific publications.
- May supervise a team of writers and act in a lead capacity if needed.
- Provides helpdesk support via phone and email to users of an accounting/travel information system.
- Conducts interviews with applicable sources; Researches various sources to gain knowledge on subject from subject matter experts.
- Organizes materials and completes writing assignments with regard to order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
- Possesses ability to write in various styles and to a variety of audiences (i.e., scientific, newsletter, general public, etc.); writing of occasional Broadcast announcements.
- Will be responsible for proof-reading (for grammar), sending out bulletins about UFMS updates, training, and changes.
- Set up quarterly virtual meetings to update fiscal staff around the world about any updates, clarification on new processes or policies, or fielding questions (in advance) about various updates and topics.
- Editing travel communications to include bulletins, sop's, QRGs (quick reference guides), and possible Broadcast announcements.
- Edits information and hardcopy documentation; Ensures
- proper cross-referencing occurs.
- Ensures material is presented in a user-friendly manner.
- Coordinates the display of graphics.
- Ensures all applicable guidelines for indexing are followed.
Minimum Experience and Education Required:
- Position requires Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience OR 7 years of related work experience without a degree.
- Ability to obtain & maintain a DEA suitability clearance
