TRANSPORTATION & COIN COORDINATOR SUMMARY
The Transportation & Coin Coordinator will work in a fast-paced environment, which includes daily scheduling and handling multiple routes, drivers, and deliveries. You will be acting as a point of contact for communication and coordination of coin movement for the department and building working relationships with internal and external contacts. Responsible for providing a high level of attention to detail, customer service and problem solving to meet the needs of the customer and the company.

  • Status: Full-time
  • Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm (Monday through Friday)
  • Pay Rate: $20.00-$23.00 /hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A TRANSPORTATION & COIN COORDINTATOR:

1. Manage the pickup and on-time delivery of raw supplies to internal warehouse locations

2. Manage the pickup and on-time delivery of customer deliveries

3. Create bill of lading and related paperwork by shipment and communicate all activities to internal and external parties

4. Investigate coin shipment and trucking options to secure effective pricing and bids for services

5. Develop and manage your own carrier base "book of business"

6. Complete data entry of various information for the department

7. Provide consistent professional level of customer service

a. Promptly respond to customer requests and general communications to ensure all details are understood and documented by all parties involved in any transactions

b. Assist internal and external parties with any issues with orders, shipments and other matters

c. Assist corporate office as needed with reception and administrative duties

8. Maintain files for all coin movement, vendor resources and customer activities

9. Other duties or special projects as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS OF A TRANSPORTATION & COIN COORDINTATOR:

1. High school degree or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Logistics or similar field of study preferred.

2. Advanced coordination/administrative skills, to include good analytical skills

3. Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word), and use of general office equipment

4. Strong communication (written and verbal) skills and the ability to communicate to a variety of internal and external stakeholders

5. Highly functional in a team environment and have strong cooperation and team building attributes

6. Eagerness to learn and take on new tasks and challenges

7. Working knowledge of company transportation policies and procedures

8. Good finding and problem-solving skills

9. Excellent customer service skills

10. Ability to work efficiently and calmly under less-than-ideal situations

11. Excellent organizational skills
