                    The Warehouse Lead is responsible for directing and performing duties of all warehouse personnel that receive bulk and drums, pick orders, fill work orders and unload and load trucks. The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for leading warehouse systems, training, safety, and compliance programs to ensure high quality performance of employees to ensure accurate inventory accurate, and timely shipments of customer orders.

                    ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:



                    • Utilize systems to maintain accurate inventory
                    • Maintain inbound and outbound paperwork, perform audits to ensure accuracy and determine training gaps
                    • Schedule and direct duties of warehouse employees to achieve an effective warehouse operation
                    • Utilize system and metrics in regards of product volumes to organize storage locations to ensure efficient product flow for both inbound and outbound materials
                    • Oversee performance metrics and goals for warehouse employees
                    • Monitor performance of employees and report issues to supervisor. Make recommendations for corrective counseling.
                    • Drive documentation and communication of quality issues
                    • Member of Safety Committee and ensure proper safety measures and guidelines are adhered to within the shipping department.
                    • Communicate warehouse/facilities need for repairs & maintenance
                    • Drive a continuous improvement culture
                    • Assist with overtime of warehouse staff through evaluation of staffing needs through performance measurements and metrics
                    • Conduct warehouse, tank farm and rail yard inspections to ensure proper housekeeping and removal of hazards
                    • Assist with departmental meetings for communications, training, development, and motivation of employees
                    • Update and maintain warehouse work instructions
                    • Perform other duties as required


                      Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

                      Experience/Training:



                      • 5 years of warehouse or shipping/receiving experience
                      • Must have thorough understanding of inventory and manufacturing principles and concepts
                      • Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and attention to details
                      • Forklift knowledge particularly stand up
                      • Strong communication & Organizational skills


                        Licenses/Certificates:



                        • Forklift certification or ability to become certified


                        Technology/Equipment:



                        • Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
                        • Inventory Management System (JDE)
                        • Understand laptops and projectors for training purpose



                        PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

                        While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently asked to speak, hear, stand, sit, and/or use both hands to handle, or touch objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to walk, bend, distinguish colors or use repetitive movement for certain tasks. The employee must be able to lift and carry 25 to 40 lbs. occasionally and lift more than 40lbs. intermittently. PPE will be used intermittently while working with certain hazardous materials. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

                        WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

                        Work performed in a warehouse environment and in extreme heat (>80 degrees) during summer months as well as outside in all weather conditions including extreme heat during summer months. May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shift from one station to another, during the production process. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - safety eye glasses and safety steel-toe shoes are required for this position. Work hazards - Safety concerns to include heavy products, light and heavy-duty machinery, forklifts, working in a congested and high activity warehouse. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual will encounter while performing the essential functions of this position.

                        The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between $22 and $27.22 hourly. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:

                        2. Education and certifications: Any additional qualifications that enhance your ability to succeed in the role.
