We are currently in need of a Full-Time Chaplain.
40 Hours Per Week
in Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties.
Make a difference in people's lives during their end-of-life journey.

Chaplains act in coordination with the interdisciplinary group (IDG) to identify and meet the spiritual needs of hospice patients and families, including adjustment to living with a terminal illness, grief and loss issues, and the dying process.

Job Duties:

  • Complete spiritual assessment within 5 calendar days after initial admission to hospice
  • Establish care plan to meet spiritual support needs as identified by the patient and family
  • Provide bereavement support to patients and families pre-death and post-death as grief support
  • Provide support to patients and families for spiritual and/or faith rituals
  • Refer or coordinate care with patient and family identified spiritual community
  • Refer to local clergy, pastoral care provider, or other spiritual provider as requested by patient and family



Qualifications:

  • Hospice experience preferred
  • Board certified chaplain preferred, ordination or endorsement from a religious authority
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in theology, divinity, religious, or pastoral studies
  • At least 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education preferred
  • Ability to work with various spiritual and/or religious practices
