The Finance Manager directs and coordinates all activities related to the submission, approval, and funding of sales requiring financing.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:



  • Assign worker's responsibility for investigating and verifying financial status and reputation of prospective customers applying for credit, preparing documents to substantiate findings, and recommending rejection or approval of applications.
  • Quote, submit, generate documents, ensure funding and maintain customer account status on all sales deals that require financing through CFSC or other lenders.
  • Correct, update, and maintain customer and internal accounts with proper general ledger entries.
  • Reconcile internal and customer accounts to adjust for funding, subsidies, and GL entries.
  • Manage subsidy funds and properly allocate subsidy funds based on financing and sales discounts.
  • Calculate and maintain rate sheets, payment calculator, and tax rates for internal systems and lists.
  • Act as the company representative to CFSC, Cat Insurance, external lenders, and customers.
  • Track and forecast weekly finance funding.
  • Quote ISCs, leases, and other finance options to salesmen and customers.
  • Perform in house lease payoffs and interest calculations on RPO units.
  • Check and approve programs in SMA.
  • Maintain and track submitted, pending, and funded finance deals.
  • Negotiate credit terms on behalf of customer with external lenders.
  • Assist management in the formulation of credit policies.
  • Maintain knowledge required to quote and understand Cat Insurance.



WHAT YOU'LL NEED:



  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient understanding of financial statements, profitability and budgets when assisting customers with financing options.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of Accounting software; with the ability to use Database, Internet, Spreadsheet and Word Processing software.
