RT&T, a joint venture of InDyne, Inc. and Amentum Services, Inc. is the prime contractor to support the Atlantic Range Technical Support Services (ARTSS) for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) headquartered in Patuxent River, MD, and with locations in Maryland, Virginia, and California. ARTSS supports Atlantic Test Ranges (ATR) and Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations (ATMO) in research and development, engineering, maintenance, operation, support of facilities, systems, and equipment in order to meet the engineering development and operational testing and fleet training missions for some of the world's premier systems. Our work with the U.S. Navy keeps the warfighter safe by testing systems before they are used in combat, and we are hiring personnel to support this important mission. Background Information: This full-time, onsite position supports the Range Systems Branch's Tactical Training Range (TTR) Team at the Atlantic Test Range (ATR) located at Patuxent River, Maryland. ATR is the Navy's East Coast open air test range and provides real-time test and evaluation (T&E) services to Navy and DoD customers including data acquisition in support of aircraft and weapons system testing as well as fleet training exercises. This position will provide Linux administration support to the TTR team and its customers. - Develops a system of several varied sequences or formats for processing a limited problem in a scientific project
- Recognizes probable interactions of related computer systems and predicts impact of a change in assigned system
- Reviews proposals which consist of objectives, scope, and user expectations; gathers facts, analyzes data, and prepares a project synopsis which compares alternatives in terms of cost, time, availability of equipment and personnel, and recommends a course of action. Upon approval of synopsis, prepares specifications for development of computer programs.
- Determines and resolves data processing problems and coordinates the work with program, users, etc.
- Orients users on new or changed procedures
- Conduct special projects such as data element and code standardization throughout a broad system
- Respond and resolve service outages, technical queries, and other system related issues
- Manage user accounts/groups and group policies via Microsoft Active Directory
- Assist in gathering information and processing data related to cybersecurity
- Perform and evaluate vulnerability scans on production and test systems
- Ensure DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts and Bulletins (IAVA, IAVB) compliance by managing the installation of new software releases, system upgrades, and installation of patches to resolve software related issues with the IT systems.
- Identify areas of non-compliance by using Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

- BS Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience performing the stated or similar function.
- In lieu of a BS Degree, a High School diploma or equivalent GED and 9 years work experience performing the stated or similar function or an Associate's Degree plus 7 years work experience performing the stated or similar function.
- Meet and maintain education, training, and certification requirements in compliance with applicable DoD/DoN Cybersecurity Workforce policy (currently DoD 8570.01-M/8140.01/SECNAV 5239.2)
- Must hold current industry certifications to achieve and maintain IAT Level II certification IAW DoD instruction 8570.1
- Security+ or equivalent/higher level cybersecurity certification required within 60 days of employment
- Experience with DoDl 8500.2 controls and common vulnerabilities, DISA STIGs, DoD IVAM, with FISMA, DIACAP, and other information security-related federal guidelines
- Citrix XenApp and Desktop, Provisioning Services, Dell Storage Manager, SAN/FiberChannel/iSCSI, CommVault Backup Software experience desired
- Must possess a valid driver's license and successfully pass drug screening
Clearance Requirements:
- Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.
- Employment and start date is contingent upon the candidate receiving the required US DoD issued interim security clearance
Work Conditions: Most work performed in enclosed buildings at a desk or in data processing environments. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching.
