National Business Director

The National Business Director (NBD) is responsible for the strategy, performance, and program's financial success. The NBD collaborates closely with multiple stakeholders and is our Client's resolute business partner. The NBD has responsibility for the performance standards for all employees ensuring program goals, metrics and financial measurements are achieved or exceeded. The NBD oversees various aspects of an employee's employment experiences. This is a second line leadership role. The first line leaders for this program report to the NBD. The National Business Director collaborates closely with the client sales management and leadership to support all Client program goals, removing barriers for successful achievement of desired results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of sales managers and representatives to achieve and/or exceed revenue targets.
  • Analyze market trends and data to identify opportunities for growth and increased revenue.
  • Create and manage budgets for sales initiatives and provide ongoing reporting and analysis to the executive team.
  • Create and implement strategically sound business plans and tactical strategies to achieve Client and Corporate goals.
  • Communicate team objectives in ways that promote teamwork and a powerful sense of shared goals among team members.
  • Effectively plan and facilitate required meetings.
  • Evaluate employee territory performance and monitor productivity, metrics, workload, and output, while ensuring compliance with policies and processes and addressing issues through corrective action process as they arise.
  • Ensures all candidate Interviews and hired employees are managed in an EEO compliant manner.
  • Maintain required technical and product expertise including competitive knowledge.
  • Good understanding of and full compliance with all laws, regulations and Amplity Solutions Policies, Code of Conduct, all privacy and data guidelines, relevant state and federal laws and regulations, and terms and conditions prescribed in the Sample Administration Agreements and PDMA Guidelines.
  • Successfully complete all required Client and product training.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical experience required
  • A minimum of 3+ years minimum pharmaceutical sales leadership experience on a regional or national level required, 5+ years or more preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills and demonstrated success with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve top performance.
  • Strong strategic, analytical skills and experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.
  • Proven history of developing and managing budgets for sales teams.
  • Ability to develop and implement sales strategies that align with business objectives and market trends.
  • Pediatrics experience a plus
  • Residence near a major airport.
  • A valid US driver's license with a safe driving record required.
  • Willingness to travel nationally.

Field Credentialing Requirements:

As a representative of a pharmaceutical company, you may be required to submit and maintain credentials, such as training, vaccinations, and other job-related documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers. It is the Company's expectation that you comply with the requirements outlined by the facilities on your call plans.

Additionally, certain geographic jurisdictions or hospital systems have requirements to apply for and obtain a representative license. At this time, representatives working in the District of Columbia, City of Chicago, State of Nevada, State of Oregon, or those associated with Jackson Memorial Health in Miami-Dade County Florida may be required to obtain specific licenses. This list may be subject to change, including the potential for additions or modifications. In the event of any significant changes, you will be notified accordingly.

Salary Expectations:

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $205K - $215K. The salary range displayed may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, certain degrees, certifications, and other relevant factors.
