Title Patient Scheduler Category Medical Administrative Support Location Maple Grove Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Shift Days Work schedule Req Number MED-25-00015 Open Date 7/14/2025 Description The External Referrals Scheduling Coordinator proactively schedules appointments for patients who have been referred for neurology consultation with physicians at the Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology (MCN). Reviews incoming referral information from outside healthcare providers (primary care clinics, hospitals, etc.) and contacts patient via phone to schedule consult visit. Verifies demographic and insurance information. Scans referral information into EHR and notifies appropriate doctor's office of appointment. This position involves a high volume of phone work and utilization of the clinic's electronic health record. During the first 90 days this position will travel between Golden Valley and Maple Grove for traveling. Position Requirements Minimum qualifications: we seek a high school graduate (or GED equivalent) who has at least one year of related administrative support experience in a medical clinic or hospital setting. Must have knowledge of medical terminology and experience working with an electronic health record. Must be patient centered and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy required.
