Boathouse Per Diem Coach

Job Summary

Drexel University is looking for a Per Diem Coach at Bachelors Barge Club for the boathouse's novice, intermediate, and experienced club members. The Per Diem Coach will work with rowers who comprise a broad range of ages and experience levels, in both private and group sessions.

Essential Functions

• Coordinating workouts and schedules
• Coaching to improve rowing technique
• Developing individual workout plans
• Ensuring water safety
• Overseeing club equipment and teaching boat handling and care
• Complying with boathouse regulations set by the Director of Boathouse Operations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of a HS Diploma or GED and 1 year of coaching experience
• Current USRowing membership
• Strong communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• High level of personal accountability

Preferred Qualifications

• Current First Aid/CPR and Concussion certifications
• USRowing Level I or higher certification
• 2 years of coaching experience

Physical Demands

• Typically sitting at a desk/table
• Typically standing, walking
• Typically bending, crouching, stooping
• Typically running, climbing
• Lifting demands 50lbs

Additional Information
s is a Part-Time per diem position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
