Job Title: Special Security Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Security Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive security support, including Physical, Personnel, Special, Special Access Program (SAP), and Industrial Security expertise. This role involves assisting, monitoring, and advising on all aspects of security activities to ensure the safety and preparedness of SOCCENT personnel, including Military, Civilians, and Contractors, in non-traditional environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and assist in the implementation of security activities for Top-Secret and higher classification levels.

- Monitor and advise on security protocols and procedures to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

- Develop written technical approaches and methodologies regarding security proposals.

- Collaborate with supported tenant organizations to enhance security measures and readiness.

- Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for improving security operations.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in security operations, particularly in a military or government setting.

- Strong understanding of security protocols related to Top-Secret and SAP environments.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Relevant certifications in security management or related fields are a plus.

This position is contingent on contract being awarded.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 12 years' experience with evaluating and processing approvals and accreditations for SCIFs/T-SCIFs, Secure Working Areas (SWA), and Temporary Secure working Areas (TSWA in a nontraditional environment to perform critical contingency tasks.
  • Experience with managing all the physical security aspects of the SCIF/T-SCIF lifecycle from concept approval, developing and implementing a SCIF/T-SCIF construction security plan (CSP, completing, maintaining, updating, and submitting the Pre-Construction checklist, Pre-Construction Fixed Facility Checklist (FFC) and Pre-Construction TEMPEST Checklist to the final FFC and TEMPEST checklist With TEMPEST Form B for accreditation and reaccreditation, and proper SCIF dose-out procedures.
  • Extensive experience supporting SCIF planning and accreditation, recertification processes and procedures and familiar with the SCIF construction process as per the JCD 705.sta.ndard with Special Access Facility Accrediting Official Course Desired.
  • Security Clearance: Top-Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
