Guitar Instructor (Adjunct) in the Department of Music and Performing Arts ID: 2025-2152 Category: Music Type: Part-Time FLSA Status: Exempt Benefit Eligible: Location: St. Paul, Minnesota Office Location: 3900 Job Summary Provide individual Guitar lessons to Bethel students at a variety of skill levels and teach two introductory Guitar courses Responsibilities teach two 1-credit introductory Guitar courses that meet a general education requirement for Bethel University undergraduate students teach 30-, 45-, or 60-minute weekly voice lessons in person to undergraduate students during Fall and Spring semesters. prepare individual students for performances throughout the semester, and for juries at the end of each semester Skills strong guitar skills thorough understanding of mechanics of guitar playing ability to teach college students at a variety of skill levels Experience Experience teaching guitar lessons at the high school or college level required; experience at college level preferred Education Bachelor's degree in music, music education, or related field is required; Master's degree preferred Additional Information Compensation: Between $45-$55 per hour for individual lessons and $1,250 per load credit for courses Position open: August 2025 Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
