Job Summary
Provide individual Guitar lessons to Bethel students at a variety of skill levels and teach two introductory Guitar courses

Responsibilities

  • teach two 1-credit introductory Guitar courses that meet a general education requirement for Bethel University undergraduate students
  • teach 30-, 45-, or 60-minute weekly voice lessons in person to undergraduate students during Fall and Spring semesters.
  • prepare individual students for performances throughout the semester, and for juries at the end of each semester

    Skills

  • strong guitar skills
  • thorough understanding of mechanics of guitar playing
  • ability to teach college students at a variety of skill levels

    Experience

    Experience teaching guitar lessons at the high school or college level required; experience at college level preferred

    Education

    Bachelor's degree in music, music education, or related field is required; Master's degree preferred

    Additional Information

    Compensation:

    Between $45-$55 per hour for individual lessons and $1,250 per load credit for courses
