Your Job

In this engaging role, you will leverage your machine operator skills while also applying and expanding your welding expertise with GMAW and GTAW processes to become a key contributor at Koch-Glitsch. You'll maintain smooth shop operations by ensuring a clean workspace and interpreting intricate blueprints. Enjoy the variety and challenge of cross-training in different areas of the shop while supporting our mission to meet customer and company goals. Safety is of utmost importance, and you'll ensure every process is executed with proper safety controls and PPE. If you're experienced in the production of mass transfer and mist elimination equipment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
First Shift: Monday - Friday

Our Team
Koch-Glitsch is a global leader in developing, engineering, designing, and manufacturing a complete line of mass transfer and phase separation technology equipment and associated services for the chemical, petrochemical, refining, and gas processing industries.
What You Will Do
  • Operate production equipment such as press brakes, Structured Packing Equipment, lasers, shears, punch presses, and Fiberbed winders.
  • Perform welding with GMAW and GTAW processes
  • Actively participate in the Koch-Glitsch safety program
  • Maintain a clean shop and work area
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical details
  • Cross-train in different areas of the shop as required
  • Provide production and support to meet customer and company goals
  • Ensure all processes are carried out with appropriate safety controls and PPE

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Willingness to work overtime during peak periods on short notice.
  • Experience in operating various pieces of production equipment
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and technical details
  • Working knowledge of both standard and metric tape measures

Physical Requirements/Other Considerations

  • Ability to squat, bend and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and work a 10-hour shift in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in Structured Packing Operations
  • Experience in Fiberbed operations
  • Experience in Mesh Grid operations
  • Technical School Welding Certificate/previous on the job welding experience
  • Advanced experience in operating production equipment
