Position Overview

The Epic Learning Experience Consultant possesses a deep understanding of all areas of Learning and Epic implementation process for new member organizations. This role is responsible for providing member with delivery of New Member Assessment results to support a successful implementation and provide consulting services to help guide their learning experience. This is a dynamic position with a high degree of independence and flexibility, allowing space for an entrepreneurial spirit to pursue their passions. The person in this role will possess a customer-service orientation, with enthusiasm for finding solutions and connecting resources in support of health center goals. Using excellent training and meeting-facilitation skills this role builds relationships with diverse stakeholders to seek efficient and proven solutions to systemic Training obstacles, leveraging that knowledge to connect resources and best practices to all aspects of the learning cycle.

Essential Duties

  • Plan, coordinate, facilitate, and evaluate learning sessions/trainings for members in collaboration with project partners including curriculum design, agenda setting, and trainer identification.
  • Lead in the design, development and implementation of Learning Experience curricula, including multi-day bootcamps, full and part day webinars, and autodidactic curricula.
  • Design and deliver trainings via multiple modalities, including in-person onsite consultations, one-on-one, group setting, virtually and by phone.
  • Serve as a resource for members on key content areas - connecting members with the tools and resources they need to reach their goals.
  • Provide technical assistance to members around identified needs.
  • Work intensively with health center teams participating in assigned projects to refine their Learning/Training Team implement best practice concepts.
  • Design, develop, and implement member assessments/consults around Learning/Training performance and evaluate needs to identify opportunities for improvements and possible solutions.
  • Lead in the coordination of member consultations, including planning meeting logistics, communicating with members, preparing content for meetings, and coordinating follow-up.
  • Travel to member sites as needed for consultations, assessments, trainings based on member needs up to 25%.
  • Team processes are documented, are understood by team members, followed, and are aligned with OCHIN organizational policies and processes
  • Active participation is demonstrated as applicable within operational and strategic meetings; information is shared with relevant parties in a timely and effective manner
  • Develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with partners, management, and employees
  • Proactively manage work and communications to ensure that activities and projects are meeting stakeholder needs and are moving forward as expected
  • Appropriately escalate barriers, risks, and issues in accordance with OCHIN's escalation policy
  • Lead change by modeling behavior and influencing partners
  • Collaborate with internal and/or external partners to ensure effective integration of improvements and to foster organizational learning
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of Learning and Training experience in similar or relevant role in safety net organizations. 10 Years of applicable experience desired.
  • Bachelor's degree in education, Communication, Business, or related field is required; Master's Degree in a healthcare or Education field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Learning and Training management experience in similar or relevant role in safety net organizations ideally training and supporting in Epic EHR. 10 Years of applicable experience desired
  • Strong understanding of learning cycle, training and project management.
  • Desired certifications in at least one Epic module with preference given to EpicCare Ambulatory, Cadence, Prelude Resolute PB, ClinDoc, ASAP or Optime.
  • Experience supporting Epic Go Lives end to end, providing templates, assessment and consulting service post Go Live is highly desired.
  • 3+ years' experience in Instructional Design to include:
  • LMS architecture and deployment experience in a corporate environment
  • Conceptualizing, editing, and creating virtual learning or a related content for adult learners
  • Experience in a post-production continuous improvement environment with industry knowledge of standard workflows and content organization
  • Experience in or with a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health centers is highly desired.
  • Change management skills and experience highly desired.
  • Proven success in internal and external relationship management with all levels of expertise from administrative to executive is required.
  • Strong consulting, education and/or presentation skills are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, intercultural, and customer service skills are required.
  • Must be able to support on-site as needed.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

To keep our colleagues, members, and communities safe, OCHIN requires all employees-including remote employees, contractors, interns, and new hires-to be vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine, as supported by state and federal public health officials, as a condition of employment. All new hires are required to provide proof of full vaccination or receive approval for a medical or religious exemption before their hire date.

Work Location and Travel Requirements

OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position.

  • It is a requirement that employees work in a distraction free workplace
  • Travel required up to 20% nationally for on-site Go Live support based on business requirements for OCHIN

Base Pay Overview

The typical offer range for this role is minimum to midpoint ($128,465), with the midpoint representing the average pay in a national market scope for this position. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors directly relevant to this position, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, responsibility, and experience, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
