DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position involves working closely with the agency's Digital Director to oversee and improve the digital presence of the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. Your main responsibilities will include shooting and editing videos, as well as creating other visual content to be used online. Additionally, you will be responsible for updating and enhancing the department's public website to ensure it remains relevant, visually appealing, and user-friendly. You will also be in charge of editing and updating the website to ensure it meets accessibility standards. Furthermore, you will play a role in the department's podcast by scheduling guests, editing episodes, writing descriptions, and creating teasers to be posted on a monthly basis.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of professional communications experience and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirement:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
