Assistant Site Manager

Location: Baltimore, Maryland (US Coast Guard Yard)

Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Day Shift, Monday - Friday

Compensation: $100,000-$110,000 (Competitive wages dependent upon experience)

Tessera is seeking a supportive Assistant Site Manager that exemplifies servant leadership for our Curtis Bay team.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:
  • Create estimates for additional projects as well as oversee execution of projects awarded.

  • Ensure work is completed on time, on budget and per the project schedule.

  • Provide support and oversight of the Computerized Maintenance Management System CMMS (Maximo) as Well as our customers CMMS system (SAMS).

  • Supervises employees to ensure all Skookum policies, procedures, and standards are met and understood for effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Ensure employees are adequately trained to complete jobs in a safe manner.

  • Maintains exceptional relationships with the customer, contract officials, and contracted officers representing customers.

  • Audits and responds to customer comments and complaints to ensure quality issues are corrected within contract and Skookum policies and procedures.

  • Continuously monitors existing methods of operations and document control to ensure efficiency of operations, as well as seek out improvements in operations.

  • Provides leadership and support to site employees.

  • Maintains Skookum's core values for humanitarianism and employment of people with disabilities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline preferred.

  • Minimum of Five (5) years' experience in Facilities, Construction or Project Management preferred.

  • Fluid understanding of the project life cycle and general standards of project implementation.

  • Must have strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products such as; Outlook, Excel, Word, Project.

  • Must be able to analyze data for the purpose of generating reports and communication of performance.

  • Must be a self-motivated, creative problem solver with the ability to organize and prioritize work. Must also be able to multitask.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships.

  • Must be knowledgeable in all areas of facilities maintenance operations, worksite safety and HAZMAT procedures.

Requirements:
  • A Valid State Driver's license is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance company.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances as background checks will be conducted for this position.
