The onsite IT Support Specialist role provides day-to-day IT support, incident management, and service request fulfillment; engages in problem and knowledge management; and collaborates with vendors and internal teams to deliver new solutions. In this role you'll make an impact by:
Day-to-day IT support of assigned activities i.e., engage with site users including chat & call handling, processing requests/tickets. Works closely with Novonesis Global IT to coordinate work and data synchronization between Franklinton and the Global systems Coordinate with the Global team to manage on premise server hardware, server downtime, and restarts when needed Incident Management and Service Request fulfillment covering:
Monitoring of the site's service requests and incidents, ensuring they are addressed and resolved in a timely manner Diagnose and troubleshoot of HW and SW problems Dispatch requests/tickets to 2nd and 3rd level; Organize hardware replacement and install new software on clients' PCs. Local IT infrastructure services, to include physical infrastructure, telephony services and conference rooms.
Taking part in problem management and knowledge management High focus on local end-user satisfaction Smart hands support for internal teams, projects, and vendors for the delivery of new solutions Network connectivity troubleshooting Supporting the IT onboarding and training of new Novonesis employees Monitoring IT trends among site users Strong assets management for in-scope hardware and software Vendor management and coordination on site for external vendors Monitoring vendor performance and compliance on site
To succeed you must have:
Windows OS Proficiency: In-depth understanding of Windows OS for troubleshooting Strong knowledge of Linux systems and networking Networking Fundamentals: basic knowledge of network components and CLI commands Office 365 Mastery: comprehensive understanding of Office 365 architecture and issue resolution Active Directory Basics: familiarity with Active Directory components and LDAP queries Knowledge of Linux and Windows servers and server hardware PC Hardware & Software Expertise: Strong understanding of PC components and software installation IT-support education, training or certification (preferred) iOS Support & InTune Enrollment: Hands-on experience with supporting iOS devices and InTune enrollment IT/Engineering Degree: Bachelor or Associates degree in IT related field or equivalent experience ServiceDesk Background: 2+ years of experience in ServiceDesk or Service operations IT Operations & Service Delivery: solid experience in IT operations and Service Delivery Interpersonal & Communication Skills: trong communication and relationship-building abilities. Ability to work in an interdisciplainary team environment ITIL or Incident Management: experience with ITIL framework or relevant incident management (preferred) Creative problem solving and a drive for continued learning Language Fluency: proficient in English Ability to lift 50lbs Be able to walk 2-3 miles a day Be able to wear PPE (provided) (safety glasses, etc. when necessary) Ability to Climb Ladders Ability to use hand tools
