Position Summary |
The role is responsible for providing high-level administrative support to assigned faculty. This position requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, attention to detail and a commitment to serving others with integrity. Key responsibilities include managing calendars, handling correspondence, answering and directing phone calls, preparing reports and presentations, maintaining filing systems, as well as serving as the primary administrative point of contact for the Law School's undergraduate minor,
MSL program, and faculty colloquium events. The role also supports workflow and project coordination, ensures adherence to organizational standards, and contributes to process improvements. |

Undergraduate & MSL Program Support
- Teaching Assistant Management: Assist and resolve TA questions; assist with onboarding; and schedule weekly meetings for class material review.
- eLC (eLearning Commons) Management: Accurate and timely management of eLC; troubleshoot any issues, design class pages (including content)
- Exam Support: Assign and communicate blind grading numbers; coordinate with the University DRC; provide exam instructions; distribute exams; arrange and coordinate make-up exams.
- Academic Support: maintain records of attendance, special events, and grades; maintain a list of accepted Minor students; develop grade tracking forms; prepare files for Athena uploads; monitor student enrollment for the Minor in Athena; assist with curriculum change forms; finalize and verify enrollment in Minor with UGA School of Law Registrar and the UGA Registrar's Office.
- Student Communication: Serve as a point of contact for students registered in the Minor; answer questions about the Minor, class materials, and general inquiries, or direct them to the appropriate party.

Instructional Support Lead
- Serve as subject matter expert and establish standards for faculty instructional support for the School of Law Administrative team. This includes training new employees, preparing written training materials, and best practices.
- Assists faculty (and visitors of faculty) with travel authorizations, arrangements, and expense reimbursements.
- Work with IT to ensure that both office equipment and equipment belonging to faculty are operational.
- Maintain calendar/schedule for faculty as needed.
- Assists other faculty and administrative staff.
- Greets individuals calling in person or by telephone; provides information; takes and delivers messages; maintains appointment schedules; makes travel arrangements.
- Maintains and anticipates the need for appropriate office supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Creates and maintains appropriate files; processes paperwork for clerkships.

- Manage and maintain the Director of the Undergraduate Minor's calendar, including scheduling student meetings.
- Admissions Support: field admissions questions regarding the minor and fellowship; process related communications with the Minor enrolled students;
- Support the Director with fellowship applications, including compiling materials.
- Create and manage a database of undergraduate organizations, academic programs, and courses.
- Reporting: compile and prepare data reports, memos, charts, and timelines related to the Minor, enrollment numbers; provide statistical data on the Minor as requested.
