ACARA Solutions and our client in Scottsdale, AZ have a contrac-to-hire position available

Advanced Engineering Technician w/Active DoD clearance
3rd shift 10:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Sunday-Thursday
$40.70 per hour (DOE)

Technical Skills

  • Manufacturing & Engineering Tools: Solumina MES, Enterprise PDM

  • Operating Systems & Scripting: Basic proficiency in Red Hat Linux and Python scripting

  • RF & Test Equipment: Solid understanding of RF fundamentals and experience with test instruments including PNA (Network Analyzer), Oscilloscope, and other RF diagnostic tools

  • Software & Productivity Tools: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)

  • General IT Skills: Strong basic computer knowledge and troubleshooting skills

  • 3 years working with Fabrication tools

  • Working with Engineering, Operations Support, and individuals in other departments, the Advanced Engineering Technician will support engineering activities such as designing, testing, checking out, modifying, fabricating, and assembling prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, or specialized test equipment.
  • Interprets basic engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics
  • Constructs, modifies, debugs, troubleshoots, calibrates, tests, and adjusts a variety of tools, equipment, and systems
  • Conducts, analyzes, and documents statistically based experiments to define process parameters
  • Implements and documents complex solutions for process improvement
  • Designs and constructs basic tooling and fixtures to accomplish unique tasks
  • Organizes, analyzes, and interprets data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommends resolution/process improvement.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the use of fabrication tools
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Ability to fabricate complex hardware
  • Solid knowledge of generally accepted technical theory
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Superior communication and collaboration skills
