Production Planner- Gas Division

Description

The Production Planner will coordinate production workflow for the Natural Gas Division. Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay. Determining manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production demand. Daily execution of administrative production activities; workflow scheduling, data compilation, analysis, and reporting. The individual MUST BE WILLING to work on the shop floor, pulling parts for work orders, conducting quality reviews, and on an as-needed basis.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Scheduling the daily production of the Natural Gas Division based on labor, material and equipment availability
  • Daily communication with plant, fabrication managers/leads and sales regarding priorities and resources
  • Creating bills of material for custom fabrication from CAD drawings
  • Collaborating with the procurement of required materials
  • Entering work orders in the business system


  • Compiling various test data for the customer reports


  • Monitoring and managing the production schedule (MAR)
  • Estimating hours required to complete each work order
  • Communicating lead times and expected completion dates to the sales team
  • Monitoring inventory levels of standard stocking fabricated items.
  • Balancing workload across plants by moving work orders, materials and equipment to plants with available labor
  • Plan for and implement contingencies due to slips in material delivery, fabricator absence, and down equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Minimum Qualifications for Consideration:



  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, or communications.
  • Experience: Qualified candidates must have some level of experience in a production or fabrication environment. Must also have working knowledge of all Microsoft Office. Must work well in a team environment, be flexible, and work in fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Skills: Algebra & Geometry, construction, manufacturing, or engineering background
