Senior Salesforce Developer

As a Senior Salesforce Developer at MedSleuth, you will be the go-to expert for our Salesforce ecosystem. You will take complete ownership of the platform, from high-level architectural design to hands-on, in-the-weeds development. You won't just be a coder; you'll be a strategic partner, working closely with leadership and stakeholders to translate business needs into robust, scalable, and elegant solutions. This role requires a full-stack Salesforce mindset, a passion for quality, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

  • Architect & Build: Design, develop, and deploy best-in-class, full-stack solutions on the Salesforce Platform, leveraging Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and modern integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events).

  • Configure & Customize: Demonstrate deep expertise in both declarative (Flows, App Builder, Objects) and programmatic development, making sound decisions on when to use out-of-the-box features versus custom code.

  • Embrace Quality: Champion a test-driven development (TDD/BDD) mindset to ensure high-quality, reliable solutions are delivered. You will be responsible for creating robust unit tests and participating in peer code reviews.

  • Design First: Create prototypes, wireframes, and mockups to visualize solutions and gather feedback before writing a single line of code. You are comfortable with live, collaborative prototyping sessions.

  • Manage the Platform: Take ownership of platform administration, including user management, security, data integrity, and developing reports and dashboards to monitor key metrics.

  • Integrate & Automate: Build and maintain critical integrations with other business systems and leverage AI tools (like Einstein Copilot) to enhance development, automation, and user experience.

  • Collaborate & Communicate: Partner effectively with team members and stakeholders to deeply understand requirements, reflect them back clearly, and articulate the rationale behind your technical decisions.

  • Drive & Unblock: Proactively review project materials, anticipate team needs, and persistently follow up to chase down blockers and keep projects moving forward.

Our Ideal Candidate: Who You Are

  • Ownership Mindset: You have experience in small, agile companies and enjoy wearing multiple hats. You see what needs to be done and take ownership of it.

  • Self-Motivated & Accountable: You thrive with minimal supervision and are a proactive, self-starter who takes initiative to solve problems.

  • Team-Oriented & Collaborative: You are genuinely excited about MedSleuth's mission. You value teamwork and are committed to the success of the entire team.

  • Excellent Communicator: You can listen carefully to requirements, articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and explain your design choices thoughtfully.

  • Prepared & Proactive: You do your homework, reviewing materials in advance of meetings and always thinking one step ahead to anticipate the needs of the team and projects.

  • Persistent & Resilient: You don't let obstacles stand in your way. You are skilled at following up, navigating roadblocks, and chasing down what's needed to get the job done.

  • Curious & Growth-Oriented: You are a lifelong learner who is passionate about technology. You actively explore new Salesforce features, stay updated on industry best practices, and are always looking for ways to improve your craft.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.

  • Formal Credentials: Salesforce Platform Developer I certification required. Advanced Administrator, Platform Developer II, and/or System/Application Architect certifications are a significant plus.

  • Full-Stack Salesforce Expertise:

    • Deep proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce.

    • Strong experience with Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk) and building complex system integrations.

    • Mastery of declarative automation tools, with an emphasis on Salesforce Flow.

  • Salesforce Health Cloud: Demonstrable familiarity and project experience with Salesforce Health Cloud data models and capabilities.

  • Modern Development Practices: Experience with Salesforce DX, source control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Proven track record of leading development work streams from design through deployment in an Agile environment.
