Genesis10 is currently seeking a QA Test Manager V for a contract role with our client in the healthcare industry in Eagan, MN. This role is 100% remote.
Summary:
The main function of a QA Test Manager is to oversee & manage the development, implementation, and documentation activities, including test planning, test documentation, test execution, defect tracking and reporting, including follow-up and issue resolution.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
- Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
- Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability
- Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
- Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content
- Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
- Create or maintain databases of known test defects
- Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
Day to day tasks
- Managing the testing for new client implementations
- Attending meetings to speak to testing progress, hindrances, etc.
- Managing testing task plans and timelines
- Reporting testing status
- Defining Joint test strategies with Clients
- Other activities as required
8 - 5 CST would be the preferred standard time with necessary deviations when required
Potential overtime might be necessary, but not consistently defined. On an as needed basis.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
- 10+ years in Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering with at least 3 years managing enterprise level testing efforts requiring coordination of multiple workstreams, resources, and disciplines.
- Experience testing software
- Experience writing test documentation such as Test Plans, scripts and test results reports
- Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve testing
- Tools: Microsoft 365 suite of tools is the base of what this role will use.
Soft Skills:
- Ability to Manage testing timelines and resources across multiple parallel pathing projects and workstreams
- Ability to speak with authority to various cross sections of the project on all things testing.
- Ability to translate technical needs to business-friendly verbiage
Certifications:
- ISTQB Certification is preferred (Any level)
Desired Skills/Experience:
- PBM Knowledge would be a huge plus
- Medical insurance experience would help if not PBM
Compensation:
Hourly W2 Pay: $70.00-$75.00
We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
