The TRACE/RECORD MGMT INSPECTOR is responsible for auditing Device History Records for completeness prior to release of product, creating certificates to allow for receipt of product in various markets, indexing and storage of quality records, retrieving records upon request, coordinating with other departments to have any documentation errors corrected, and working with the Traceability team and management to provide inputs and feedback on key performance indicators as part of business process monitoring.

The ideal team member is highly focused and meticulous. You should understand the record management cycle and the importance of maintaining accurate records. Being familiar with the medical device industry and working with procedures and policies would be a plus. Being self-motivated and being able to work with minimal supervision will be critical to your success here. We will be relying on your excellent Microsoft office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and your ability to work under pressure. Most important is your ability to work with Excel efficiently, create, formulate, edit, and save.

General Responsibilities

  • Release product to finished good inventory after verifying traceability requirements are met per procedure.

  • Enter data and track records in excel spreadsheet.

  • Manage process of off-siting and retrieving records to and from outside warehouse

  • Provide customer service to internal clients when records are requested or off-siting/retrieval is needed.

  • Support operations with specific shipment orders.

  • Prepare documents for scanning by organizing, indexing and prepping.

  • Operate high speed scanning equipment and verify scanned images.

  • Sort and file records according to guidelines.

  • Prepare purchase orders for supplies.

  • Perform other duties as may be required by management.

Skills and Experience

  • Exposure to ISO, FDA regulations, records review and product traceability for compliance.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Computer skills -Microsoft Access and Excel.

  • Able to read and interpret written information.

  • Must be able to meet deadlines as well as long term goals under pressure of quantity while maintaining quality.

  • Must be organized with the ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Must be able to work efficiently on your own, as well as in a team atmosphere.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Working experience with MRP systems such as SAP

  • Proficient in MS office

Travel Requirements

  • This position does not require business travel.

Physical Requirements

  • Candidates may be required to lift up to 30 lbs. to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job.

Additional Information

  • Compensation: The target hourly pay rate ranges from $22/hr - $25/hr plus annual bonus. Pay will be granted based on experience.

  • Location: Clear Lake, TX (Southeast Houston Area)

  • Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00a - 5:00p
