Healthcare Revenue Cycle Analyst (Medical Billing & Coding Expert) *Location: *Hybrid - West Lake Hills, TX (Initial in-office training, then hybrid schedule)
*Employment Type: *Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire About the Role: We are seeking a seasoned *Healthcare Revenue Cycle Analyst* with deep expertise in medical billing, coding, reimbursement, and contract management. This role is ideal for a critical thinker who thrives on uncovering the "why" behind billing procedures and enjoys working in ahigh-production, detail-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities: * Analyze medical billing data and prepare reports for system input and legal review. * Provide expert witness testimony in court regarding billing practices. * Coach physicians on billing practices and compliance. * Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and efficient billing and coding. * Utilize Excel and EHR systems (e.g., EPIC, Athena) for data analysis and reporting. * Investigate and explain the rationale behind billing and coding decisions. Required Qualifications: * Minimum 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry supporting medical claims, billing, reimbursement, and contract management. * At least 1 year of experience analyzing revenue cycle trends. * Strong communication, presentation, and critical thinking skills. Need to be able to articulate complex concepts. * Proficiency in Excel and at least one EHR system (e.g., EPIC, Athena). * Passion for understanding the "why" behind billing/coding-not just data entry. Preferred Qualifications: * 3-5 years of experience in medical billing and coding. * Experience as a manager, team lead, or educator in billing/coding. * Legal knowledge or experience teaching billing/coding is a plus. * Experience in workers' compensation, medical auditing, denials/appeals, or orthopedic/pain management practices. Soft Skills: * High emotional intelligence and business savvy. * Flexible, compliant, and a natural problem solver. *Office Environment: * * Relaxed environment but serious about what they do. * Small company (20-30 employees). * Casual office environment that is fairly quiet. * Most people are very busy with reports and reviewing case files. * High production environment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
