The City of Turner is seeking an outstanding person to work in the Public Works Department as a Utility Worker II. Duties of a City Utility Worker include: Performs general, manual, semi-skilled, and specialized duties relating to the operation, repair, and maintenance of the city’s public works infrastructure including water distribution system, transportation system, parks and other public facilities. Primarily responsible for water system related operations, maintenance and development concerns. Operates, maintains and repairs, equipment. Maintains required records. Performs other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated multi-tasker that has great organizational skills. A High School Diploma (or equivalent); AND Two (2) years’ experience performing public works maintenance or other related experience; OR any satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience with ensures the ability to perform the essential functions of the position. One or more of the following licenses/certifications preferred: Stormwater Management, Water Distribution I, Wastewater Collection I, Public Pesticide Applicator, Backflow Inspector/Tester, Sediment / Erosion Control. This is a Full-time position, with the start date anticipated to be shortly after acceptance. The starting Utility Worker II salary is between $4,112-5,248 monthly based on qualifications. The Utility Worker I position salary is between $3,622 and $4,623 monthly based on qualifications. These positions have excellent benefits, which includes paid sick time and holidays, as well as family medical, dental and vision benefits. This is an Oregon State Retirement System (PERS) qualified position.
