Unified has $30+ million in annual sales with operations in NJ, SC, and CA. We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable Manager to work closely with the CFO and CEO.
Job Summary
The Accounts Receivable Manager will be responsible for managing incoming payments, tracking accounts, resolving billing issues, and supporting overall financial operations. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced growing business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and send customer invoices in a timely manner
- Record and apply incoming payments accurately
- Monitor customer accounts and follow up on past-due balances
- Communicate with customers to resolve billing questions or disputes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in accounting software
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy
- Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams on billing issues
- Prepare regular aging and other ad-hoc reports for management review
- Prepare asset-based borrowing submissions to the bank
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in accounting or business preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or a related role
- Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Net Suite is strongly preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Time management skills to meet deadlines for multiple tasks and projects.
