Salesforce's Commerce Cloud has immediate opportunities for very talented frontend software engineers who want their lines of code to have significant and measurable positive impact! This candidate will be working with a group of premier engineers to build Modern POS solutions that our customers will love, adopt and use while keeping our trusted platform stable and scalable! The role encompasses architecture, design, implementation, and testing to ensure we build products right and release them with high quality.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop core modules of the CMS platform leveraging React and modern web technologies, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.

  • Lead technical initiatives by setting the platform's technical direction, establishing best practices, and guiding architectural decisions.

  • Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering professional growth and improving team capability through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with UX designers to deliver seamless, user-centric experiences that align with product and business goals.

  • Facilitate and drive Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure alignment and delivery efficiency.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex production and business-critical issues, ensuring system stability and customer satisfaction.

  • Conduct and oversee thorough code reviews, upholding high standards of code quality, security, and maintainability.

  • Author and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, ensuring clarity and alignment across development teams and stakeholders.

  • Define and implement robust testing strategies (unit, integration, and end-to-end), ensuring reliability, quality, and continuous delivery readiness.

Required Skills

  • Extensive expertise in modern web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and React.js.

  • 9+ years of professional experience in front-end engineering, with deep proficiency in JavaScript and React.js for building scalable, high-performance applications.

  • Proficiency in Node.js and server-side JavaScript, enabling full-stack development capabilities.

  • Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, and Cypress, ensuring code quality and reliability.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

  • Practical experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Salesforce Hyperforce, enabling cloud-native application development.

  • A related technical degree required

Desired Skills

  • Experience with Retail POS systems and enterprise-grade solutions, contributing to domain expertise.

  • Proven ability to create and maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation to support development and onboarding.

  • Working knowledge of GraphQL, CI/CD pipelines, and build automation tools to streamline development and deployment.

  • Proficiency in TypeScript for building robust, maintainable, and type-safe applications.

  • Backend Programming and Databases Java, Spring and RDBMS
