Avantor is looking for a strategic and results-driven Manager, Content Strategy to join the Digital Marketing Operations organization. The successful candidate will lead and scale our content initiatives across the customer lifecycle. This role is full-time, USA- Remote. Minimum Education Requirement:
Required Experience: (5+ yrs):
- Content strategy, content marketing and/ or editorial management.
- SEO principles, user behavior and content performance metrics.
- Leading content planning, managing editorial calendars, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Business level writing, editing and communication skills.
- CMS platforms (e.g., SAP Commerce, AEM, Drupal WordPress), project management tools (e.g., Workfront, Asana, Jira), and analytics tools.
- SME level organization skills, to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented
(1 + yrs):
- Managing people and/or small teams.
Preferred Experience
- B2B SaaS, e-commerce and/ or content-led growth environments.
- UX writing, conversion copywriting and/ or accessibility best practices.
- Content localization, personalization and/ or audience segmentation strategies.
- Working with creative teams, designers, and performance marketers.
How you will thrive and create an impact: This role requires a blend of editorial vision, marketing acumen, and operational rigor to drive business impact. The Manager, Content Strategy will:
- Manage and develop a team of content strategists, ensuring they are aligned with departmental and business priorities.
- Create a culture of excellence, mentoring team members on content quality, voice consistency, SEO optimization, and performance metrics.
- Forecast resourcing needs and build scalable processes to manage workload, capacity, and delivery timelines.
- Define multi-channel content strategies that support key business priorities, product launches, and campaigns.
- Partner with Brand, Performance Marketing, and Product teams to align messaging and deliver content that enhances the customer journey.
- Oversee content mapping to audience segments and personas, identifying content gaps and high-value opportunities using market and behavioral insights.
- Lead content governance and editorial standards, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and localization practices across all content.
- Own the content roadmap, editorial calendar, and project pipeline, coordinating with stakeholders across departments.
- Establish KPIs and performance frameworks to track content effectiveness across channels.
- Conduct quarterly content audits to assess quality, alignment, and return on investment (ROI).
