We Require
Seven years of experience in network engineering or network architecture within a large-scale enterprise, with demonstrated experience in designing and planning network systems Experience with enterprise network routing/switching, SD-WAN, hybrid cloud networks, firewalls and network management monitoring tools Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology or related field A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Job Contributions
Architecture Leadership: Define and evolve Maricopa County's enterprise network architecture, including data center networks, WAN/LAN, SD-WAN, wireless, hybrid cloud connectivity and segmentation. Develop as-is and to-be architectures using ArchiMate and other network modeling tools. Documenting current capabilities and identifying gaps. Lead the creation of network transition architectures and multi-year roadmaps for scalability, security and modernization. Execution and Oversight: Collaborate with engineering teams on design and deployment work, ensuring adherence to enterprise standards. Develop and publish network architecture standards and reference architectures. Strategy and Planning: Provide architectural guidance on network technology selection, investment decisions and future innovation while aligning network strategies with enterprise goals, cloud adoption, data center modernization and County initiatives. Consultation and Collaboration: Act as a trusted advisor to IT leadership, engineers, project managers and business stakeholders. Supporting business continuity, incident response, and network operations through design advisory and escalation support. Present architectural concepts to stakeholders and deliver well documented diagrams and roadmaps.
