We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director Strategy Lead to join our Client Portals team this role will be located in New York, NY. Within this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Help set portal platform strategy - define path towards unified portals aligning businesses across BNY
- Deep dive into specific portal components to detail path forward and make investment case e.g. unified client AI strategies
- Ensure solutions have appropriate technical architecture aligned with modern development standards (working with architect)
- Track external trends, competitive landscape and market dynamics translating implications for the Platform
- Contribute to platform OKR ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and assisting to ensure solutions will deliver on the objectives
- Prepare key platform documents demonstrating value incl. QPR, management presentation, working groups
- Lead key strategic initiatives in the planning, analysis, implementation, integration and measurement of the overall Platform Strategy and roadmap
- Utilize a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of multiple areas of BNY across disciplines to achieve strategic vision of the platform
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of experience (Banking/Financial) is required
- Execution focused problem solving - able to quickly source and distil facts to solve complex problems in a way that the platform can execute upon
- Ability to build coalitions across business gain alignment to a shared vision
- Effective communicator with experience creating and giving presentation to senior leaders
- Human centered approach to problem solving with experience in using personas and client segmentation to drive strategy
- Passion for changing status quo and driving out-of-the-box ideas
- Eagerness to 'roll up the sleeves' in execution and learning; pushes the team to do the same
- Ideal candidate will have mix of experiences in; management consulting, product strategy, technology strategy, regulated industry, digital strategy

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $127,000 and $225,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
