Role Overview:
The Investments and M&A Lead will analyze and execute evaluation of strategic investments (organic and M&A projects) for EDPR North America. In addition, you will focus on M&A opportunities in wind and solar to cater to the business needs of the company. You will also facilitate investment-related communications and decision making with EDP and other business units including corporate areas of EDPR.
Main responsibilities:
- Analyze Greenfield projects in terms of economic risks and strategic options and undertake valuation and sensitivity analyses of various opportunities generated by the platform
- Coordinate the efforts of the internal teams of the platform to prepare investment memos and liaise with EDPR/EDP decision making bodies for required approvals
- M&A opportunities and assist in the negotiation of transaction documentation and structuring
- Evaluate divestment opportunities and assist in the execution of asset rotation targets for the platform
- Participate in strategic analysis projects (i.e., Special Projects)
- Analyze and support bid strategies for Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
- Oversee the impairment analysis process for the platform
- Additional duties as required
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's degree in Finance or a related field
- 7+ years in M&A, corporate finance, or investment analysis
- Strong knowledge of valuation, financing, accounting, and strategic analysis
- M&A/deal negotiation experience is a plus
- Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products
- Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferred

- Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 pounds
- Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
- Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
