The Experience 365 team within Microsoft's Experiences + Devices (E+D) division is seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief of Staff (CoS) to partner closely with the CVP and leadership team. This role is pivotal in orchestrating business rhythms, aligning cross-functional priorities, and fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture across a global, design-led product organization.As Chief of Staff, you will serve as a trusted advisor the CVP of Experiences 365 and his leadership team, translating vision into action and ensuring the organization operates with clarity, agility, and impact. You will lead a team responsible for business management, communications, and program execution, and collaborate across HR, Finance, Communications, and Engineering to drive strategic initiatives and organizational health.Experiences 365 (X3) is the design and research engine behind Microsoft 365's most beloved products. ResponsibilitiesBusiness Planning & Leadership:Act as a trusted advisor to the CVP and leadership team, providing insights and recommendations to drive strategic clarity and decision-making.Lead the Rhythm of Business (RoB), including business reviews, planning cycles, and leadership offsites.Partner with Finance and HR to manage headcount, budget, and resource planning.Drive alignment across product, design, and engineering teams to ensure execution against strategic priorities.Represent the leader's vision, priorities, and voice to internal and external stakeholders.Business Integration:Drive strategic initiatives and provide thought leadership.Identifyissues that impede business group success and provide solutions/recommendations.Identifyopportunities to createcross groupcollaboration and synergies.Orchestrate team design conversation andfacilitatesuccessful implementation of organizational plans. Demonstrate discretion and professionalism whenworking withleadershipteam on sensitive business and organizational issues, manage ambiguity and propose workable solutions to challenging problems.Organizational Culture & Employee Experience:Champion organizational health by partnering with HR and leaders to analyze employee signals and implement action plans.Lead initiatives that foster inclusion, learning, and engagement, including onboarding, recognition, and development programs.Elevate recruiting strategies and ensure a seamless candidate and new hire experience.Communications & Executive Engagement:Develop and execute internal and external communications strategies for the CVP.Manage communications for All Hands, staff meetings, and key milestones.Support CVP's external engagements, including customer/partner meetings and speaking opportunities.Special Projects & Cross-Functional Initiatives:Lead high-impact, cross-org projects that require coordination across multiple teams and stakeholders.Manage strategic efforts involving external consultants or agencies as needed.Team Leadership:Lead and develop a high-performing team focused on business operations, communications, and program management.Foster a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.Budgeting & Forecasting:Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes in partnership with Finance and Procurement.Develop headcount strategies and resource allocation plans aligned with organizational goals.Monitor financial performance and recommend course corrections to optimize investments.Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure strategic and operational success.Establish reporting cadences and dashboards to provide visibility into progress and drive accountability.
