Job Summary

The Brand Manager, Retail Popcorn, leads the management and expansion of AMC Theatres' microwave and ready-to-eat popcorn lines within the grocery and mass retail channels. This role supports the company's growing retail business by driving product success through strategic planning, cross-functional leadership, and external collaboration.

This position is based in Leawood, KS and is not eligible for relocation.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead retail popcorn business for AMC Theatres to drive incremental profit and brand impressions.
  • Manage relationships with existing and prospective retail partners, including Walmart, Kroger, and Publix, acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Oversee and guide the sales brokerage partner to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in support of new product development and the commercialization of retail initiatives.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of retail sales planning, including the processes and requirements for setting up new SKUs.
  • Direct Profit & Loss (P&L) management for the retail popcorn business, ensuring financial goals are met through monthly and quarterly reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with the Manager, Food & Beverage (F&B) Retail Marketing to coordinate and execute retailer-specific marketing plans and promotional activities.

What we need from you:

  • 5+ years of experience in brand management, sales leadership, or sales strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • Brand management experience with deep understanding of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)/retail/snack category.
  • Seamless integration into the AMC popcorn team and existing retailer relationships.
  • Detail orientation and comfort managing to P&L targets and other financial metrics.
  • Works well with cross-functional teams, retail partners, and broker partners to drive results and foster long-term business relationships.
  • Clearly conveys ideas, updates, and strategies to both internal teams and external partners. Builds alignment and maintains transparency across stakeholders.

What we also value (preferred):

  • Experience in similar position at a CPG company, ideally in the food/snacking space.
  • Ability to balance strategic and tactical, wear multiple hats for the team.
  • Understanding of category management analytics and sales brokerage relationships,
  • Working knowledge of major retailers such as Walmart or Kroger preferred.
  • Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or Brand/Category management certificate.
