DaVinci Roofscapes is now hiring for a dayshift Process Technician.

This is a rotating shift 7:00 am-7:00 pm

This position is primarily responsible for producing a quality shingle and timely meet expectations of production demands by performing the following duties.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Performs quality checks of product.
    • Processes changes (material and color).
    • Reliefs machine operators.
    • Assigns co-worker job assignments.
    • Maintains communication between shifts and co-workers.
    • Documents quality and production information.
    • Ensures all written procedures are being followed.
    • Monitors the operators which include their daily performance, quality of work, maintenance of their equipment, team attitude, cleanliness of work cells, accuracy of their documentation, method and ability to train others within team environment, and daily efficiency.
    • Oversees and ensures that all safety guidelines are being used and trains those beginning new position.
    • Monitors and continues the instruction, training, and corrective actions for all aspects of above-mentioned positions.
    • Takes on responsibility of processing the more difficult/time consuming projects/products.
    • Coordinates the start-up of upcoming projects/products, plans for any unforeseen issues and schedules the technicians' duties for the day/week.
    • Sets, pulls specific tools, cleans tools, and cleans/organizes the shop as time permits.
    • Will act as replacement for shift supervisor when necessary.
    • Sets up, starts up, and changes over production jobs consistent with process control capabilities and quoted standards.
    • Uses proper process procedure documentation and databases for performing routine set up functions and troubleshooting work.
    • Evaluates molding processes in order to update techniques and improve quality, safety, and productivity efficiencies.
    • Works with production group to meet production demands.
    • Contributes to continuous process improvement.
    • Performs other duties as assigned to meet the objectives of the facility.
    • Acts as a lead to the manufacturing work areas.
    • Demonstrates leadership ability and foresight to plan and delegates work in advance.
    • Organizes and coordinates activities within the manufacturing operation to meet or exceed the facility and corporate goals.
    • Ensures quality parts are produced and delivered on time that meets customer specifications.
    • Coaches and facilitates problem solving among production staff.
    • Promotes continuous improvement involvement along with timely completion of all corrective actions assigned.
    • Consistently monitors machinery, processes, and works cell layouts in order to recommend improvements that yield increases in profit and quality levels and decreases potential safety hazards.
    • Performs timely, accurate and safe change out of injection molds.
    • Responsible for reporting any damage or repairs needed to molding machines, support equipment and/or tooling using Maintenance Work Orders and/or Request for Mold Repair forms.
    • Works with the Mold Setter to reduce mold change times.
    • Trains and mentors mold changers on shift.
    • Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

    • Valid driver license and acceptable motor vehicle record
    • Forklift and Overhead Crane Certification

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
