About the Opportunity
DMI LLC is seeking an experienced Lead Solution Architect (LSA) to join our Enterprise Bid and Proposal team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of recent, hands-on experience serving as an LSA on large, complex IT professional services proposals for large business contractors. In this key role, the LSA leads solution strategy and architecture development as part of Core Pursuit Teams, crafting innovative, compliant, and compelling solutions for federal government proposals. Responsibilities include the development of technical approach volumes, management strategies/volumes, win themes, and impactful briefing/proposal artifacts such as solution graphics, Basis of Estimates (BOE's), Continual Service Improvement (CSI) Programs, Process Flow diagrams, proof points, Solution on a Page, and other technical narratives. Candidates with over 7 years of experience in this role and a proven record of winning $50M+ contracts are strongly preferred. The LSA must bring a blend of deep technical expertise, strong writing and visualization skills, and proven proposal leadership-collaborating closely with capture managers, SMEs, and proposal teams to articulate DMI's unique value and differentiation. Duties and Responsibilities: Solution Architecture & Strategy (Proposal-Focused):
Serve as the Solution Lead responsible for end-to-end solution architecture across technical and management volumes in response to federal RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
- Develop early solution concepts and articulate them in narrative form and visually via diagrams, "Solution-on-a-Page," to-be architectures, and operational concept graphics.
- Define delivery models, resource strategies, skill mixes, and labor categories in alignment with price-to-win strategies and compliance requirements.
- Design modern, scalable, and secure technical solutions-covering infrastructure, cloud, DevSecOps, data, application modernization, Zero Trust, ITSM, mobility, and emerging technologies.
- Lead solution development workshops, facilitate technical SME input, and resolve technical gaps and tradeoffs during proposal development.
Proposal Development & Leadership:
- Write and lead development of compliant, compelling Technical and Management Volumes, including:
- Solution narrative
- Delivery approach and staffing
- Basis of Estimate (BOE) and Level of Effort (LOE)
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
- Innovation and Continual Service Improvement (CSI) plans
- Risks and mitigations
- Craft clear and visually engaging proposal graphics, charts, and conceptual diagrams aligned with solution narratives.
- Develop win themes, discriminators, proof point tables, and strengths mapping that align with RFP evaluation criteria and agency mission needs.
- Write or co-author Past Performance and Experience sections, translating technical and programmatic work into persuasive customer-aligned narratives.
- Lead the development of Orals Presentation Decks, including content, visual storytelling, and key messaging. Participate in rehearsal sessions and help prepare delivery teams for customer orals.
Governance & Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with Capture Managers, Proposal Managers, Pricing Analysts, SMEs, Contracts, and Executive Leadership to shape the solution and ensure proposal readiness.
- Present at internal color team reviews, solution reviews, and gate reviews; incorporate feedback to strengthen solution and proposal artifacts.
- Support customer-facing activities including oral presentations, solution briefings, and technical Q&A sessions.
Compliance, Standards, and Best Practices:
- Ensure all solution components comply with federal acquisition regulations, IT security standards (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA), and agency-specific compliance needs.

- Champion adherence to DMI's proposal processes, solution governance framework, and proposal best practices.
Qualifications
Education and Years of Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years as a Lead Solutions Architect/overall 7+ years of experience
Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:
- Strong Technical and Business Acumen: Enterprise Architecture Lead must possess strong technical knowledge along with a clear understanding of the business processes, industry trends, and customer requirements. You must be capable of analyzing complex systems and processes to architect solutions against a clients brief within all parameters as set out.
- Business Analysis: You should have experience in business analysis, including experience in areas such as requirements gathering, process mapping, and solution design.
