POSITION SUMMARY:

The Supervisor, Patrol will oversee training operations for security at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, Missouri. Training Manager will be responsible for developing, coordinating and maintaining training programs.



RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Develop and conduct required training programs for new hires and current employees
  • Monitor, evaluate, or record training activities for program effectiveness
  • Serve as SME for site training
  • Develop remedial/alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen
  • Organize and develop, or obtain, training procedure manuals and course materials such as handouts and visual materials
  • Evaluate training materials prepared by instructors, such as outlines, text, or handouts
  • Conduct training in first aid, CPR, and AED
  • Provides instruction to new hires and current employees as required to maintain and improve marksmanship skills
  • Training in a classroom setting at the office and traveling to the on-site locations for advanced training and recertification programs.
  • Ensures the safety of students. Communicates and oversees compliance with company policy, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Updates course curriculum as directed.
  • Identifies in a timely manner training requirements needed to maintain required certifications and company standards and completes all required continuing education and refresher training programs.
  • Completes any additional training and/or certifications required by the Client or contract managers.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance
  • Practical training experience as an instructor in Security, Law Enforcement and/or Military
  • Experience in training or supervisory role
  • Must pass background investigation, physical, drug, screening.
  • Computer literate with basic proficiency in MS Office required.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion.
  • Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
