I. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary duty of a coordinator is to assist supervisor in order to meet production goals. This duty requires exercising independent judgment. This position is managed by supervisor, general foreman, manager or department head.




  1. Directs the workforce within a department to complete daily assignments; plans and organizes work assignments, etc. at supervisor's direction.
  2. Adheres to and enforces the general safety plans, procedures and policies.
  3. Ensures work is performed at a quality level consistent with Transcraft and Wabash National standard practice.
  4. Trains and coaches new and existing department associates. Monitors and addresses individual and team productivity.
  5. Completes reports and paperwork as assigned.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Plant Manager.



II. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

May be required to assist supervisor with job assignments, attendance tracking, conducting meetings, controlling inventory, completing inspections, etc.




  • QUALIFICATIONS



  1. High School degree or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  2. Must have ability to get along with others exceptionally well, building credibility and rapport.
  3. Must have excellent attendance record.
  4. Ability to train, coach and motivate others.
  5. Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Must have ability to learn and use required computer applications.
  7. Must possess required math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  8. Must have ability to understand and apply engineering specifications, Change Orders, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  9. Good organization skills, problem-solving and decision making skills required.
  10. Must work well under time pressures; meeting deadlines and handling multiple tasks.
  11. Must be willing and able to work overtime.



IV. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must meet the same physical requirements for the specific position or area assigned.




  1. WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT


The work environment includes exposure to high decibels, temperature and weather variations, metal welding processes, and chemicals which may include solvents, undercoating, paint, and caulking.
