Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support key areas including Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, SQL Server, Okta, GitHub, VMWare, and M365 SharePoint Online.

  • Design and deploy technically complex infrastructure computing solutions both on-premise and in public cloud services.

  • Automate the creation and support of cloud services using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Azure ARM templates, Bicep Files, or Terraform with GitHub.

  • Perform support tasks within a regulated environment: FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR, HIPAA.

  • Responsible for implementing and monitoring all aspects of system security.

  • Work with Application Engineers, Developers, Analysts, DBAs, and business users to understand their requirements.

  • Proficient in managing operating systems and applications with minimal input, including patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting

  • Troubleshoot applications, development coding, debugging, testing and delivery within a large Enterprise production environment are highly desirable.

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of computer performance metrics and tools, to include understanding of CPU utilization levels, CPU and disk queuing, network connectivity, I/O response times, and other key performance indicators and their impact on performance.

  • Ensure that system and application logs, reports, and dashboards are reviewed to proactively avoid system issues.

  • Perform complex tasks while operating in a large-scale production environment.

  • Integrate applications with MFA as required.

  • Ensures that Service Level Agreement (SLA) metrics are met for uptime, problem resolution, and performance.

  • Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills and work collaboratively across technical disciplines.

  • Create and update systems and applications documentation.

  • Availability to work night and weekend hours on occasion as required.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge:

  • Strong working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure (Compute, Storage, Network, and Security), Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SharePoint, and Microsoft M365.

  • Strong working knowledge and experience with virtual machine infrastructure.

  • Working knowledge of SAML, OIDC, single sign-on (SSO), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).

  • Working knowledge of change control methodologies.

  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow or equivalent ticketing system.

  • Working knowledge and experience with key ITIL processes is required.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a systems administrator role

  • Experienced in both Azure and Windows.

  • Skilled in basic networking.

  • ITIL Certification highly preferred
