Manage, implement, steward, and strategically direct the premier scholarship programs of Davidson College. Serve as a valued and critical member of the admission and financial aid staff, working in close collaboration with on- and off-campus constituencies to achieve the enrollment goals of the college.

Job Duties

Oversee all aspects of the college's premier scholarship selection processes, inclusive of promotion, nomination, selection, and development of student relationships, continuing throughout their Davidson experience. Strategically monitor the national higher education landscape and program dynamics in order to implement needed changes and enhancements on an on-going basis.-35%-Essential, Serve as the strategic ambassador of the college to foster and maintain strong relationships with secondary schools, college counselors, community-based organizations, and advisors. Contact, meet, recruit, and work to enroll the best-suited prospective students. Plan, schedule, and represent the college in schools, at college nights, and through national, regional, local, and on- and off-campus events with professionalism and enthusiasm. Develop and execute scholarship presentations.-25%-Essential, Serve as a contributing member of the college admission operation in managing a territory, developing and nurturing relationships with high schools, counselors, CBO's, students and their supporters. Serve as a member of the admission committee in evaluating, selecting, and enrolling each first-year and transfer class. Oversee collaborations with other scholarship awarding departments for admission and scholarship activities. -20%-Essential, In partnership with the Director of Financial Aid and others, monitor balances in the various scholarship accounts in order to make best use of funds for awards on an annual basis. Work collaboratively with the Development Office in the stewardship of college scholarship programs and strategies, including with BBAM scholarship awarding system.-10%-Essential, Serve as a contributing member of a fast-paced, strategically-oriented enrollment team, by contributing to office projects and programs.-10%-Essential

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and minimum five years of experience in admission and financial aid, in addition to highly relevant experience in student advising and goal-setting. Strategic collaborative experiences, both within and outside of the organization, are required.

Master's degree preferred



  • Strong knowledge of current college enrollment landscape for admission and financial aid.
  • Ability to articulate the mission and value of the college and scholarship programs.
  • Evidence of team building experiences that generated desired outcomes.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Evidence of strategic planning.
