After reviewing the position description, if you feel you are a fit for our organization and possess the required qualifications, we invite you to apply: SRE is seeking a Senior Emergency Management Planner to provide seniorlevel planning expertise in support of FEMA's Planning and Exercise Division, ensuring alignment with national preparedness goals, policies, and frameworks. This position directly supports FEMA Headquarters and Regional Offices in the development, coordination, and facilitation of complex planning initiatives. The Senior Planner will work closely with FEMA, as well as federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and privatesector stakeholders, to oversee planning processes, schedules, deliverables, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading the development and coordination of complex operational or strategic plans within a federal emergency management or national preparedness context. They will be skilled in interagency and intergovernmental coordination, adept at aligning plans with national frameworks, and capable of facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagements involving diverse participants. This role requires a professional who can guide planning teams, ensure deliverables meet established quality and policy standards, and communicate effectively across senior leadership, partner agencies, and technical staff. Work Environment: The primary work location of this position is the Washington D.C. Metro area. Remote work is allowed but not guaranteed. Please Note: Occasional travel may be required to attend planning meetings, workshops, exercises, or other mission activities at locations outside the primary duty station. Travel frequency will be determined by project needs. If you live outside the commutable area, travel expenses are not reimbursed to the primary work location.
