This role will engage Business Unit (BU) Leadership, SMEs, IT, and external parties to identify and progress opportunities to improve and innovate engineering data quality, dataflow, data management processes, data standards, and technology. We are responsible for the efficient and optimized ingestion of critical engineering data to the Oxy data ecosystem and the integration of that data for downstream usage at the right time using appropriate methodologies. This functional SME is in a key position in ensuring that technical data for the management of Oxy assets is created and curated throughout the lifecycle of those assets, and that governance frameworks and best practices are in place to support long-term sustainment. Core area of engagement will focus initially on the development of SmartPlant Instrumentation/SmartPlant P&ID. Specific responsibilities include the following:
Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related science preferred. 10+ years experience in oil and gas in lieu of preferred degree. Technical Experience: Sr level SmartPlant system experience with a minimum 10 years of applied knowledge.
